 2009 Select AFL Pinnacle (Series 2)
This series is expected to sell very quickly similar to the Classic series last year. Packs will be $4.99 but the albums have increased to $25 RRPThe boxes are still 36 pack per box but the cases this year have 16 boxes per case.
Captain Signatures are BACK
The packs contain 8 cards plus 1 holographic guernsey die cut card with the chance to score some great insert cards including the extremely hard to find Captain Signatures. Packs will also have inserted at various odds Medal Cards, Predictors, Double Trouble, Draft Pick Signatures and Rookie Sensations. Extended Price guides - A new way to support the web site Over the last couple of months there have been many changes through the web site, a majority that haven't been seen but have happened in the background. Most of these changes have been with redeveloping the price guides to allow for more sets, more updates, more detail and better control. To allow this to happen many hours have been put in by the website development and assisted software programming.
To support the website it was decided that many of these new features would be included in a new extended price guide membership option. The extended membership would have access to price guides earlier and with more details including the new price guide trend graphs showing the history of the card prices. It will also include pricing for specialised and non-mainstream sets. For more information read on. |

AUSTRALIA'S PREMIER COLLECTABLES SHOW - May This Sunday 17th May 2009 will be the 2nd Australia's Premier Collectables Show in Victoria held at the Maribyrnong RSL.
The first show this year was a great success and this show will be bigger and has been promoted through the hobby industry and hobby magazines. There will be special guests, door prizes and plenty of card stalls to search through. For more information read on |

PLEASE NOTE I have just created a login bridge between the main website (www.afltcc.com.au) and the forum site (afltcc.com.au/forums) so that when you log into or register on one site it will log you into both, this is the first step in preparing the main site for some extended features like Access Control and even some paid membership areas with extended content.
There will be some people who may experience a few problems, as both sites use the email address as a master field and don't allow duplicates, some members had a different login name on the main site to the forum site (but using the same email address) so since one had to be changed I have made the main site the same as what your forum login was. If you have any problems logging into either site please let me know.
Again let me know if ANY problems are occurring or you are having login issues (

2009 Herald Sun Set The Herald Sun has released this years set of cards today with the first day having the traditional free* Album and tomorrow having the first pack free* after that the packs will be $2 per pack per day (when purchasing a copy of the Herald Sun)
The feel for this year is a slight throwback look of the mid 70s and comes with a special card in each pack. For more details read on.... |

AFL STAR FIGURINES 2009 SERIES 1  Select have release series 1 of their 2009 figurines with series 2 and NRL coming soon. These figurines are similar to last years however they promise that these figurines will not break like the 2008 set.
The set consists of 24 in Series 1 with another 24 in Series 2. Cases come with 30 figurines which will include 5 gold parallel versions however it is unsure if all have the parallel or just 5 from the Select advert |

Each Limited Edition Figurine, made from Poly Resin is 100% handcrafted and stands at 18cm high. The Recommended Retail Price is $39.95 each and they are available from all AFL Stores and hobby shops. |

 The EARLY Season wrap up!
With the first few weeks of the football season over and the mad rush on AFL trading cards over the last 4 weeks, I thought it would be a good time for an initial wrap up of the start of the Football Card Season and Website Improvements. Over the last 4 weeks the web site has seen a many updates including the information of all the new releases for the start of the season, the new price guides, a new logo and theme, and much more. The statistics show that it has been the busiest the site has every experienced and the price guides have had more pricing data entered in 10 weeks than the last 3 years total.
