I think others have mentioned it may well be in the set still they often leave an insert off the promo sheet. Nice looking cards love the packs lol maybe collectable 1 day. Would not bother me so much as it means there would be maybe only 1 rookie card but in series 2, the kids however would miss out . With the new draft system starting next year and the fact last year some teams had more than 1 extra pick early in the draft , the Rookie sets may differ for a while. What is going to happen when the Gold Coast comes in?

Make 22 of them,like 2006 Champions?
Make them numbered somewhere between 1-1500?
1:18 PKTS .
That's a set from a case,with 2 spares all going well.
Guess it depends on how much boxes are released, probably not going to work.
be nice though.

Im sorry looks like same old same old.. which i dont care about as it will make my collecting the power cards easy, only having to spend a few dollars on ebay to get them.

And as far as no draft rookies go, not happy at all!
And it better not signal things to come for series 2!

If there is not at LEAST one signed rookie PER TEAM for series 2 count me out.

Bad boxes of Pinnacle are worth little enough (When its a basic break) without rookies omitted!

I don't really mind either way when it comes to cards over $100 value (I won't likely collect them)

But what I REALLY want to see are "Jobe Watson/Time Watson" and "Gary Ablett Snr/Gary Ablett Jnr" Father/Son cards (1 per 2 boxes sounds good) for every possible team (Not sure if possible with some)

Maybe signed renditions for series 2 as a really rare card

That would be nuts awesome!

If there are DPS in series 2 you can guarantee that there will be no Collingwood one, seeing as their first pick was #30 which they used on Luke Ball.

I don't see why people have such an issue with the fact that if the first round is used for Rookies then some sides will miss out. It is the way the system works, hey there wasn't even a Geelong DPS in 05 Tradition/Dynasty despite them using the fist 30 picks, it's just the way she goes. I'm not phased if Geelong doesn't have a Rookie card as long as they have recruited well. Team success before collecting in my books.

As for the Pinnacle Captains - I think they got the right numbers (7 right?) - the same as in 04 - but they could have made better choices as to who.

It is the luck of the draw in the end - we are tied to the one manufacturer for any premium product so we are effectively at their mercy, we have to roll with whatever they decide.

I'd still like to see some form of sig in series 1 though.

A first picks set?

Just each teams first pick!

That would work I feel and if they used the "sensations" idea from Pinnacle they could add the other major rookies!

maybe they should go back to 99 and 2003 and bring back the destiny signature, There are plenty of players that have been round for a year or 2 that are worthy of a signature card off the top of my head , Liam jurrah, simon hogan, nahas i'm sure there would be at least one from each team.

Yeah, something like that would be nice, or a Golden Draft type sig set, somethin' new would be nice.

The destiny signature or an extention of the sensations would supplement the DPS set well and ensure all teams have a signature card in the set. 1 every 2-3 boxes; 16 in the set would be sweet. If they were going to replace the DPS set though, it should happen next year when the Gold Coast ownes the draft.

2010 champions ratio's known anyone?
Would the Best of the Best be 1:108 like the DT's they are to replace?
Rest follow the script set down in last year release?

Thats true mate Port have missed out a couple times with no draft sigs as they have traded there first rounder off....
And this year we have 3! so it makes up for not having one on a few other occasions!

I agree with other posts first round draft picks would be the way to go.
For me a Shaun Burgoyne draft pick would be awsome.I think it may
in the end come down to the cost of a player of this caliber to sign 400
or so cards.

Burgoyne was traded not drafted - though a signature set of players who have changed clubs, like Fresh Ink would be nice too.

If its not already known to you guys I can confirm there are in fact 17 rookies in champs 2010!

I rang Di earlier today to change my addy for the promo cards etc... and quizzed her about the rookie situation while I had her on the phone ;)

I alos 100% confirmed the Tags are Plastic. I am actually a bit disappointed about that one but also expected it!
