To take a word from you song Adz its a "Tradition" i think they look great they r similar looking to the first series back in 1963 and 1964 . But i prefder basic cards as opposed to over the top US type cards

oh yer totally understand that, would never sling off at someone if they did like them and i didnt.

I dunno, i just prefer the look of the modern cards. Modern ones just seem more eye catching and i dunno lol more professional if that makes sense

I can see why some wouldnt like them they r very plain and basic in fact old looking but i love the older looking cards some people prefer the new shiney rare new industry cards, which r great too , but there is just something about the old style which i personally love. Maybe they can do a 78 or 79 version :P my favourites

yes it does.... but i like them more because they aren't really busy ... like team coach... with the exception of the wildcard and the Captain and B&F .. their cards are horrible.

I dont like the AA from this new release either, the only card that i like are the Medal cards... so its just my view...

what is your favourite card then?

all those memories hey absti..[/quote]Stop it im blushing  how good would that be they could even open a local milkbar to sell them  The gum not in plastic either but on the card with the powder too and that smell once u have it u never forget it . That old 81 pack i bought a while back still had the smell. 1 interesting point the 1st diecut cards from Tradition look to be made from thin cardboard similar to the old Scanlens the other day i opened my commons box and the smell hit me that cardboard scanlens smell :D

oh ... just bring back the scanlens.. but you know select wouldnt want that to happen .. they cant handle releasing any more cards lol... and i do think they have exclusive rights... so we might have to wait for another "e-release" ... "the e" must stand for errrrr... sorry .... that was an error ... please go into this ballot we are pretending to have ... hehe

Surely their not that unpopular . As for old Port cards Adz u will find that their were Port Adelaide cards made back then in fact there r some players from WA & SA which were in the Vic based sets plus SA would have had their own locally produced cards back then too.

There are plenty of SA cards from the 80s and probably 70s and 60s although John would be the one to speak to about that. They would be similar to the Scanlens too if not made by them so they would be pretty cool.
