I am with you absti...I always ask how the cards will be sent. Sellers should make this very clear in their ad.

But when doubt ask the question

I got a TC Wild Card in the post today. The guy was shocked that it got damaged after he sent it in a tissue with a piece of paper wrapped around it. There are three very distinct and deep marks across the top. I was very pleased.

When you see free postage with sale, always ask seller about the packaging before buying...

Do what i have done before, a seller did that to me a while ago. I received card in a slip and just plain envelope.

I paid $5 for regular post. Told him cards was damaged and i want a refund. (nothing was wrong with card)

Eventually got the refund and i sent the card back with a few creases..

I think that is a problem with some of the older collectors who think $0.25 for a top loader is expensive, I hate buying older cards i.e. 60-70s to get them in penny sleeve and cardboard. When you pay over $10 a card you would expect some toploaders.

and if they asked I would sell them some (or trade them for the card I need)

I reckon it just depends who you're dealing with, everyone I've bought from have used very extensive packaging methods.
