Round 14 who will be taking Charlie home

Postby absti3 » 10 Jul 2007, 19:07

Oh yes can see Bruce saying it now , Bruce and his bloody Charlie
Putting the old rose coloured glasse on for a sec really think Brent Harvey is going to go very close this yr as there wont be too many vote stealers.
Here is a list of whos hot and a roughie from each club.
Adelaide Crows McLeod always polls well Roughie Scott Thompson signed Melbourne Draft Pick card good value Edwards
Brisbane Lions Simon Black Roughie well not really but he is tough J Brown from Shoppingtown, Power
Carlton Fev will get a few Roughie Murphy
Collingwood Already a Golden boy Dale Thomas Roughie Scott Burns, Heath Shaw
Essendon Hird still their best even at his age  Roughie Lucas
Hawthorn Hodge Roughie Sewell,Franklin, Mitchell
Geelong Ablett Roughie Bartell,Milburn,Chapman
Fremantle Bell Roughie Pavlich
North Melbourne Harvey Roughie Petrie,Wells
Port Power Lade Roughie Cassisi, Chad Cornes, Shaun Burgoyne
Sydney Swans Kirk Roughie Goodes, Everitt,Malceski
St Kilda Ball Roughie Riewoldt, Koschitzke,Hayes
Melbourne White Roughie McDonald
Western Bulldogs West Roughie Johnson,Cooney,Boyd
West Coast Eagles Judd Roughie Glass,Priddis,Cox,Kerr ineligible
Richmond Richardson Roughie Tuck
So theres a rough list

Ablett would get my vote, not may others would be high up there except Lucas will get a few for so many goals etc, Judd (cause he just gets votes for putting on his boots), Johnson and West from the Dogs

Mitchell and Franklin for the Hawks, Carltons best would have to be Simpson / Scottland but they have no chance, best hope for the Roos would be Petrie, Harvey. Collingwood would have to be Shaw.

Id like to see West or Ablett win.

A lot of the players i have put down are regular vote getter, Goodes for example has had an average yr by his standards but always seems to do well.

and remember goodes came home like a steamtrain late in the season last year, pity, I'd already sold his 4 brownlow predictors, hahaha

simon goodwin doesn't poll

I'd pick ablett before bartel, more eyecatching when he runs with it, not sure if milburn historically polls, chapman no even though he's in geelong's best 2 or 3 best/most important players.

judd because he's judd

simon black definately a top chance

chad cornes, we don't see that much of them here unless you have fox

i think heath scotland has polled well in the past

not sure about boomer at north

lucas, hird

what about mcintosh at north? he's going alright

no standout i can think of at collingwood that historically polls well, perhaps dale thomas, very good player

pavlich

richo's having a big year

always been a big sam mitchell fan, franklin definately not, not at this stage anyway

Chapman polled really well last year but he's missed a few games this year and last week was his first big game since he's been back, I'd love him to win it, it was him and ablett that got me hooked big time on the club and footy in general again in about 2002 after living out of the state for 15 years

i dont think Harvey would win the brownlow on the games i have seen. He is certainly one of your best, but dont think he has done enough to get the nod.

Petrie recently would have stolen a fair number of votes, not that you have to poll in every round, but it helps.

How many 3's have you got him down for?

Brent, he was $51 a few weeks back now $13 and is or has been in the best nearly every week generally has a say every quarter and runs with it a lot. Not many vote stealers at North either very even side, he stands out.

Dream Team wise:

Bartel
Swan
Kornes

Would love to see West win, Robert Harvey may sneak a few as well.

Unfortunately I don't think West will be, I'd love to see 'Banger' Harvey get a third but not now that he's out for a month or so.
