i wish someone would shake up the card industry... dont they realise that creating a hype will make them more money! .. get them out a month before the season starts, give kids (it is meant to be for kids right?) a chance to get some of their money together and get some packs before the first game. Adults can stick their hands in their pockets and pay out hundreds for boxes if they love cards etc, kids cant...

Yeah theres no hurry theres no competition . Although from the card companies view point they cant have too much product either the rep from UD said the other day with so many sets they would bring out one and in about 2 days it would be old and outdated by another set and this happens all yr. They have a ridiculous amounts of card sets even with their big population

not having any competition doesnt mean they should be arrogant.. the competition is for kids to play, they advertise it in the J-Squad magazine, the AFL should ensure the cards are out earlier. they both need kids to get into AFL and collecting cards as they will be the new generation that they all need to keep their business strong.

Bring the cards out earlier and give collectors some respect or you risk losing more than just $.

I actually got over $40 for the Melbourne 2007 Predictor and draft pick card, was pleasantly surprised. Also have sold two Port ones, one for $50 bin and the other about $46 at auction. I think they maybe both have something to do with who the draft picks are, Westhoff and Petterd (lots of publicity after his terrible injury) (plus the buyer of the Melbourne one had the surname of Petterd hahaha)

Yep Port drafted Westhoff to join his brother. From memory it was late in the draft or in the rookie draft. If he's half as good as his brother, he may be a great get for them.

Oh,Oh I hadnt seen that Neitz Captain Sig, definitely will be bidding on it at that price! So yeah it does have its advantages having less competition for product!
