it goes on longer than just the initial silly period, I still see them going for quite a bit when they come up.
The thing is not a whole lot of low numbered cards come up down the track because they've been bought and people hang onto them, that's why they pay a premium price in the first place I'd imagine.

So johnny, if you send your redemption off with a little note saying that you want a particular number, if they can they'll give it to you?

Do you then sell the card or do you keep it?

Why would someone request a particular number and then sell it? There's no point to it, it wouldn't matter what the number was if you're going to sell it, that's why in the case of the two sellers that I've mentioned from W.A. it doesn't stand up as an argument.

If they have it.. they give it.

Not sure bout your problem. But if they are reserving sets for sellers... i guess thats what happens

I think you're missing the point. They either have a system for issuing signature cards or they don't.

They list the steps to redeeming one and they're specific. If they're not going to stick with that method then don't advertise it.

Personally I couldn't give a stuff about the numbers on the cards I received, what shits me is that it seems the method of determining who gets what numbers ie first in best dressed isn't being adhered to.

Hey guys. As some of you may know I bought a Bartlett Signature off eBay on the day of the release. I gave the seller an extra $10 to send the card off to Select the next day. He got the card back yesterday and it was numbered 005/110  So i guess 005 isnt reserved.

I bet all the Hird number 5 are. I have hird(haha) that one particular collector goes nuts over all Essendon stuff. The romour is that he has in excess of 10 Hird captain signatures. If you were to get The scanlens/select number 5 set you could name your price.

Not being into the low numbers i finally checked some of my high end cards today and found a couple of 5s ,12,13,9,16,14 and 7 now with these cards already very limited would a low number still generate a higher price ? Lets say ltd to 50 or 100?

By having a low number on a high end card it should increase the price a bit (10%-20%). But i wouldnt think it would triple the price like the draft pick cards.

Yeah thats good to know. I would think the draft picks as they r higher in numbers produced the lower numbered cards may increase more. Do u all think that if the Scanlens are individually numbered as many of u suggest they r, will lower numbers fetch a lot more or will it be irrelevant due to their scarcity and perceived popularity?

I dont think in the scanlens series it will matter much whether or not the cards have a low or high number. Because the cards are so rare i dont think the buyers will care if the card with a low number or a high number. Unless its a guensey number then it may double the price.
